Peak Records (Swiss psychedelic trance label)
~ Label
Annotation
Peak Records is Switzerland’s first psychedelic trance label. Born in 2003 out of the complicity and combined visions of two musicians, a dj and a visual artist, it is run and fuelled by the passion and creativity of Ajja S.F. Leu, Master Margherita and Tanina Munchkina.
Besides the obvious intention of releasing quality music, the main aims of the label are the promotion of Swiss artists on the international scene, as well as the chance for talented upcoming producers, both Swiss and international, to release their work worldwide.
Though initially oriented towards psychedelic night-time trance, Peak has since originated a series of chill journeys that have received many praises and are widely appreciated by the lovers of more down tempo and ethnic tunes.
Since its beginnings, Peak Records has become not only a well-established label but also a leader in its genre, with a growing number of followers, and a solid reputation that has offered a number of artists the chance to share their music with the rest of the world.
Following the much-appreciated full-length albums by Master Margherita and Flooting Grooves, and the energetic psytrance compilation Peakological, we now can enjoy the next in the series of Peak’s artist albums. This finely tuned psytrance gem is by none other then Ajja, one of the founding members of the live psychedlic band The Peaking Goddess Collective, the night-time psytrancefloor filling Yab-Yum and Peak Records itself.
2012 and 2013 will see Peak Records returning to a full release schedule. First up is Ajja’s much-anticipated second album “Tulpa”, followed by an exceptional double album by Ajja & Cosmosis, recorded live at the H.R. Giger Museum. Also in store: the exquisite chill debut album by Tengri (formerly of psy-power duo Atriohm), a new enchanting chill journey by Flooting Grooves, The Peaking Goddess Collective’s skillfully crafted second album as well as a new psytrance compilation.
